De evolutie van het Nestlé-logo

Ons logo is een logo waar we trots op zijn. Het nest met de vogels die gevoed worden door de moeder. Ontstaan in 1868, wordt het vogelnest vandaag nog steeds wereldwijd als logo voor Nestlé-producten gebruikt.

Het originele Nestlé-logo was gebaseerd op het wapenschild van zijn familie, waarin een vogel zittend op een nest werd afgebeeld. Dit refereerde naar zijn familienaam, wat ‘nest’ in het Duits betekent. Het nest draagt de bedrijfscultuur van Nestlé uit. Nestlé is een mensgerichte organisatie, waar je als medewerker wordt opgenomen in een nest en er aandacht is voor individuele groei en ontwikkeling.

Henri Nestlé paste het wapenschild aan door drie jonge vogeltjes toe te voegen, die gevoed werden door hun moeder. Hiermee creëerde Henri Nestlé een visuele link tussen zijn naam en Nestlé Babyvoeding. In 1868 begon hij de afbeelding als logo te gebruiken. Henri Nestlé was daarmee een van de eerste Zwitserse fabrikanten die een merk oprichtte met een logo.
